Vision
Peace Lake is dedicated to provide, in these extraordinary times, a sacred space of connection with Earth, Cosmos, and Spirit for those who wish to explore more deeply the changing nature of their life.
Peace Lake
Peace Lake offers a place of retreat and rejuvenation for those who have chosen to help others navigate these times of social and economic turbulence—a place to heal the healers and reactivate the activists so they might serve others better. We invite healers, activists, ministers, social workers, therapists, doctors, nurses and educators to relax at a creative and inspiring place on the shores of Peace Lake, nestled in the beautiful New Hampshire woods.
Weekends at Peace Lake provide opportunities for quiet reflection on or around the lake, one-on-one conversations with dynamic peers, or planned and spontaneous workshops in your area of passion or expertise. (At Peace Lake you will be vocationally off-duty. All offerings are optional. No one may sell workshops or services--but free samples and contact information may of course be exchanged for networking or later follow-up.)
Meditate on a 55 foot labyrinth. Join in the Saturday evening drum circle around the camp fire or fireplace. Participate in an open stage coffee house with poetry readings. Explore Peace Lake by canoe or paddle boat. Walk the many wooded trails, or the famous two mile loop around the property on quiet, scenic country roads. Or just take time for yourself, refresh, energize and enjoy the serenity of Peace Lake. The real value is in the peaceful beauty of this location and the community of those you will meet there.
Peace Lake is also site of the Peace Lake Dream Institute, which will meet monthly from June through October. Our experienced faculty will explore dreams through use of the labyrinth, feng shui, the Bible and other spiritual teachings, sand trays, improvisation and dream circles.
We hope you join us this summer at Peace Lake.

Dreams ~~
That world of wonder where integrity of meaning is always honored…
The moments where each of us is an artist of amazing creativity…
A space for exploration and discovery of deep mystery…
A time where wisdom is breathtaking and beauty is wise…
A landscape for intimate and infinite reflection…
Dreaming is an activity that transcends all cultures and is alive in every person. It is as healthy and automatic as breathing. Our Inner Guide is waiting every time we sleep to offer us opportunities for growth and healing. However, because every dream has multiple levels of meaning and we have “blindspots” regarding our own issues, we are all helped by others entering into our beautiful puzzle and offering insight.
All DreamWork Facilitators at Peace Lake use the dream groupwork principles and guidelines of Jeremy Taylor (ordained UU minister and past president/founding member of The Association for the Study of Dreams). One of the basic principles of Jeremy’s work is that “all dreams come in the service of health and wholeness.” So it is that The Dream Institute at Peace Lake offers a variety of workshops to help persons access the richness of their own dreams.

Located in the woods of beautiful New Hampshire, Peace Lake has a rustic charm representative of the beauty of the area.
History
Hillsboro Camp, site of Peace Lake, is about a half hour west of Concord, NH. In its hay-day, Hillsboro Camp was home to summer camps for girls. With a maximum occupancy of 120, girls from all over the country would congregate at Hillsboro Camp for fun, recreation and education. Hillsboro Camp shut down its camping operations in 198X. It has been rented out for special events, reunions, wedding receptions and other activities since that time.
Beginning in the Fall of 2008, Peace Lake Fellowship and Retreat Center has been renovating the existing cabins, buildings and dining hall, in anticipation of its opening session on 21 June 2009. In honor of the summer solstice, Peace Lake at the site of Hillsboro Camp will once again flourish.
